About The Coding Nurse

The Coding Nurse was created and founded by Licensed Practical Nurse, Jesse A. Gallop. He possesses the following coding credentials, CDIP, CCS, CCS-P, CPMA, CPB, CRC, HCS-D, HCS-O, and is an AHIMA-Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer. Although he enjoyed his time as a direct care nurse, working in several specialty areas, he was often called by his never-ending quest for success. This motivated him to seek opportunities to utilize his medical knowledge in new ways, which led him to the health information management industry. His talent for auditing led him to work for many different types of payers, including commercial, Medicare/Medicaid, and Medicare Advantage providers.  His desire to continue to help people has led him to his latest endeavor, The Coding Nurse featuring medical coding education and consulting. He currently provides live, remote, small group medical coding training online and works with medical providers helping them improve their revenue management cycle by improving clinical documentation and the claims denial resolution process. He has a passion for helping others in the medical industry find their niche and develop career-building skills that will ensure their success.
